Energy saving commercial – Ministry of Enviornment in Poland

Renewable energy Add comments

Dear Readers,

After some time we are back with the second advertisement of Polish Ministry of Environment. The are three of them in total and the first was shown by us earlier this month. The water saving commercials was the most controversial as it has undeniable sexual implied meaning. The second one regarding electricity saving is definitely a “softcore” ad. Please remind that all three commercial are official publication by the Ministry of Environment in Poland and were shown during COP14 in Poznań.

And how you perceive it? Now we have more scary movie scene than in previous clip. Well…in my opinion it’s still very poor message and commercial as an overall “work”. However is more logical and reasonable that the water saving advertisement and having shower together with partner. Although we have still a minor sexual tone.

Less electricity consumption means lower energy bills and additional (small but within a bigger population it shouldn’t be underestimated) natural environmental saving.

Again I would like to present for non-Polish speaking Readers a small translation of the ad’s content.

“Stefan and Mariolka (funny combination of names in Poland) save electricity eating supper using candles. And you? What did you do today for environment”. Last scene shows the COP14 conference logo and the statement: “Poland – climate for changes”.

Please take a look for the first and last commercial of Polish Ministry of Environment.

Regards,
Anthony
