Dear Readers,
First of all I frankly regret the death of Michael Jackson. I grew with his music. We lost icon, legend…however you will call it won’t be enough. It’s a pity that recent years were mainly covering some non-musical aspects of his life, but late 70’s, whole 80’s and 90’s belonged indisputable to king of pop regarding music progress, milestones, sales record, hits etc.. You can say: “but what had Jackson to do with energy management?”. I can answer quite a lot. Maybe not in a literal meaning, but he was always close to society/human problems and was active in different campaigns. I think everybody knows “We are the World” song from 1985 within “USA for Africa” – initiative aiming at getting money for fight against hunger in Africa .The single brought 90 mln $ of profit. There were only 800 000 singles and they were sold within 1 week. It was written by Michael Jackson together with Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones (he was responsible for the music concerning Michael’s 80’s albums). However more climate/energy related song was written by Michael Jackson ten years later. Please read more to see the video clip to it.

Dear Readers,
We are after two from three “climate commercials” that were published on different media sources by Polish Ministry of Environment during COP14 conference in Poznań in December 2008. We saw water saving advertisement and electricity saving ad. Now it’s time for transport fuel saving that is probably the best from all the poor commercials we saw. However all published clips can’t be described as a brilliant productions but the obtained quite huge attention in Polish press and TV so it should be treated as success but I don’t think people are behaving in a more “energy-water-transport fuel saving” way. Below you can find the last commercial.

Dear Readers,
After some time we are back with the second advertisement of Polish Ministry of Environment. The are three of them in total and the first was shown by us earlier this month. The water saving commercials was the most controversial as it has undeniable sexual implied meaning. The second one regarding electricity saving is definitely a “softcore” ad. Please remind that all three commercial are official publication by the Ministry of Environment in Poland and were shown during COP14 in Poznań.

Dear readers,
On 4th of June 2009 we published GE Energy’s TV advertisement concerning the wind energy. This time I would like to share with you with some ‘controversial’ commercials of Polish Ministry of Environment that were prepared last year within the country-wide campaign “change your habits, change climet for good” introduced parallel to the Conference of the Parties that took place in December in Poznań in Poland. Please take a notice that this campaign’s video were showed on the official COP14 website. However it’s worth mentioning that this commercials (main aim was to improve the awareness among the society related to energy savings, water savings and transport fuel savings – changing habits) were published only in Internet, on society portals. Even special ‘MySpace’ profil was made. Probably you want to see them? They are in the further part of the article. Remember Polish Ministry stands behind this…

Dear Readers,
Are you annoyed by the commercials interrupting in film watching? Commercials before weather broadcast, sport news? I have sad news…nothing can be done with it. However have you been wondering what kind of products/services are difficult to advertise? What do you think about energy? Maybe it’s not a very difficult theme to promote, but I think it’s tough to invent such advertisement, especially in an original way. I prepared two examples for you: one advertisement can be watched on our other website and second is placed below, but please watch the films without reading the whole text.
